As we repeat every Sunday in the Creed, we recognize as true that Jesus Christ \"was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary.\" Mary, as the Mother of God incarnate, and at the same time the person chosen by the Father, occupies one of the central places in the Church's teaching. In order for the Son of Man to complete his work, he first had to be born. This became possible thanks to Mary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Church's teaching, Mary was taken to heaven with body and soul after her death. Through her life, marked by hard work and tremendous suffering and devotion to God, she won graces that no other human being has received. Because of her life, as well as the extraordinary works God has done through Mary for humanity, the Church has worshipped her since the early centuries. Over the years, her veneration has grown, and is now extremely widespread in Poland. Why, then, do we pray to the Mother of God? Because, as the mother of Jesus, she is also the mother of His body - the Church. Therefore, everyone who belongs to it can say that also his mother is the Mother of God, and to her - like a mother - he turns in prayer.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
