Was it a Punishment?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Why <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-nwgrg4sxf8d8khmp0kmauve29vmgqk6i\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\" itemid=\"\">Moses<\/span> did not enter <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-oy0rg1e2hinatyg4omso7e627tcbu3j3\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">Promised Land<\/span>?<\/p>\n<p>Does it involve severe punishment to the character of Moses himself?<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned earlier, the nation <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-x7fvbfvxiumzi2mn3zeuk3f5aew1vkt9\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">Israel<\/span> After escaping from the land of Egypt he was, as it were, condemned to a 40-year journey\/travelling to <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-6kfvkjs832ikgf3z5lqilhu4pq1gfusi\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">Promised Land<\/span>. We are talking here about a period of 40 years, which is the symbolic length of the life of that generation. Thus, the Israelites who escaped from captivity are spoken of as a generation doomed to perdition.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, there are not many accounts (including Biblical accounts) that describe this long period between leaving the land of Egypt, the \"house of bondage,\" and arriving at <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-tbcajgtql2r3t70kbioh66cmf3yathk3\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">Promised Land<\/span>. But from known stories we learn about adventures which on the way (especially at the beginning) met <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-k9mwht7c8acujihsxgk1irxhfx5qxwc2\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">Israelites<\/span>. We are talking about many difficulties, lack of water and food.<\/p>\n<p>We're also talking about rebellions, lack of <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-xnrw96aibccjfq0b9uejwandkwpquj7w\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">faith<\/span> and exhaustion. <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-17jags5con7w1z6gmbvqmmnj6azzedmh\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">Yahweh<\/span> had helped the Israelites many times. Yet doubt, despite everything, was also given to Moses himself. When the thirsty <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-aronhv6ais9cx7d51x4e6fid1tsygd2o\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">Israelites<\/span> started rebelling against him, he talked <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-mse20jf8f6kc26zyq8v69jo000v8xj9t\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\" itemid=\"\">Moses<\/span> z <span id=\"urn:enhancement-3462a436\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other\" itemid=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl01857\/entity\/kyrios\">Mrem<\/span>. <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-qvfdy5n8nkux3w78axatm01h4u3ghale\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">Mr.<\/span> promised him that he would give his people water. He told him to take his staff and strike the rock with it, and water would flow from it.<\/p>\n<p>At this point <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-boi5kid9j75fj8s3z7j5no08olrggjql\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\" itemid=\"\">Moses<\/span> shows his doubt. At first he asks the people if they believe that water will come out of the rock. Then he strikes the rock more than once, as he was commanded to do <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-4g2i5dvyko1uifrax8f87m7iur9fegow\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">Yahweh<\/span>and twice, which was a sign of his doubt. And it is at this point that the inconsistency between <span id=\"urn:enhancement-ba590124\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-other\" itemid=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl01857\/entity\/kyrios\">Mrem<\/span> and Moses. That's why <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-f0jxysb24g9p591vd5co8gt4t43aqrwx\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\" itemid=\"\">Moses<\/span> will not live to see the moment we enter <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-os5w9feyzcn3s0yba0fp15vvpiw8e9o0\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">Promised Land<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>He said <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-vsbybmxddbvo62zrnudscjwmv8ju06vz\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">Mr.<\/span> to Moses and <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-p8bz33dij4ps7zp0a3rqdmcyf4es9p2u\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-person\" itemid=\"\">Aaron<\/span>that because they did not believe him, and did not reveal his <span id=\"urn:local-text-annotation-bc0nyr49kyuvdtwragw0gv6k050esjhi\" class=\"textannotation disambiguated wl-thing\" itemid=\"\">holiness<\/span> in the eyes of the people, it will not be given to them to enter the land which He gives them.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dlaczego Moj\u017cesz nie wszed\u0142 do Ziemi Obiecanej?
