In many instances during which Scripture is quoted words are said that can cause quite a sensation. We are talking about Christ and his brothers and sisters, who are repeatedly mentioned among the group of people mentioned in Bibles<\/span>. Just Mr.<\/span> Jesus Bible<\/a><\/span> portrays him as the carpenter's son and the son Mary<\/span>, brother James<\/span>, Joseph<\/a><\/span>, Judy<\/span> i Simon<\/span>. W Bibles<\/span> but no degree of kinship is depicted.<\/p>\n

The Western understanding of the words brother and sister, however, is somewhat at odds with the ancient, Far Eastern, and especially Gospel meaning of these words. These brothers are not related to Jesus in any way. This would contradict the very fact of the immaculate conception and the purity of the Mary<\/span>. In addition, during his death on the cross, the Lord Jesus hands over his mother to the care of his disciple by uttering the words: \"Behold your son\" in the direction of Mary<\/span>and \"Behold your mother\" in the direction of the apostle. It turns out that the most important role in the life of Jesus, besides his mother Mary<\/span> Virgin, were His closest helpers, i.e. His students<\/span>. They were the ones he most often called his brothers and actually treated that way. An error of perception apostles<\/span>or other people as brothers and sisters (siblings) of Jesus is quite common and results precisely from the completely different perception of this word in different cultures and religions.<\/p>\n

Here we can also consider the fact that there were cousins and extended family of Jesus. In Poland, we would also call them brothers, but cousins. W Gospel<\/span> you can find cousins of Jesus. It talks about Maria<\/span>who was Mother James<\/span> i Joseph<\/span>. Maria (this is about Maria<\/span> Cleophas) is called the sister of Jesus' mother. It follows that Jesus' cousins are also mentioned in Bibles<\/span>. However, this raises further questions. Is the named sister of Mother Mr.<\/span> Jesus, this Mary, is her birth sister or is she also her distant cousin.<\/p>\n

Such considerations can be carried out indefinitely, since the subject of roots and origins is always a complicated matter. So did Jesus have brothers? Yes he did, every person close to Jesus is his brother. The strength of the relationship we form as a Christian community is the strength of brotherhood. Each of us can call our neighbor brother and sister. It is a great skill and, above all, a great grace to be able to see another person first and foremost as your brother and to treat him as such.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
