Holy Confession is a special moment during which the faithful confess their sins first of all before By God. The intermediary is, for example, the priest, who is obliged to listen, can give absolution and assign penance. In purely formal terms, therefore, it is useful to know what is said at confession.
What is said at confession?
The sign of the cross may be made first, and after saying goodbye, greet the confessor: "May he be praised Jesus Christ!". At this point, the encounter with God in the act of repentance and admission of sin remains open. What is said at confession is very often decided by the clergyman in the confessional, as if guiding the confessor through the whole act. Therefore, one should not be afraid of this encounter - on the other side there is a person whose task is to listen to the believer in patience and prayer.
Confession of guilt should begin with "my last confession was..." admitting how long ago it was the last time one visited a confessor. This is a very important point. Of course, before going to confession there is yet One very important factor, which is a well-conducted examination of conscience - thanks to it, the confessor will not get lost in what he wants to say. After confessing one's sins, one should listen to the priest who will give individual instruction and assign penance. The confessor will then step back, saying a prayer, after which he knocks on the confessional. At this point you must answer "Amen", cross your arms and you can leave - confession is complete. As you can see, what is said in confession is not very complicated in terms of formal structure, and for the most part it should come straight from the contrite heart of the believer.
