In Poland, it is a day off from work. It is not a prescribed holiday and there is no obligation to attend Mass on this day. In our Christian tradition, Easter Monday continues the celebration of the resurrection of the Christ. However, both the Canon Law and the directives of the Bishops' Conference do not mention Easter Monday as a day on which you must go to Church. However, we urge you to participate in the liturgy on this special day, because it is a very important period of the Church. In the Polish tradition on that day we pour water on other people for fun. To this day the custom of sprinkling holy water on fields on Monday morning by farmers is found in villages in the south of Poland.
